Our Mission
The Love Story Guy exists to collect, preserve, and share Love Stories before those Stories fade away.
Our website allows people to share information about their own Love Stories, invite The Love Story Guy to meet someone or attend an event, submit definitions of love and other content, and learn more about our mission.
Website Submissions
When you submit information through our website, you represent that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to provide it.
Submitting information does not guarantee that The Love Story Guy will contact you, conduct an interview, attend an event, preserve a particular Love Story, or publish any submitted or recorded material.
We reserve the right to determine which submissions, invitations, stories, events, and opportunities we pursue.
Sharing Someone Else's Love Story
You may use certain forms to tell us about another person, couple, family, or community whose Love Story you believe deserves to be preserved.
When doing so, please provide only information reasonably necessary for us to understand why you are inviting us to connect with them.
Submitting information about another person does not give The Love Story Guy permission to record, publish, or commercially use that person's name, image, likeness, voice, or complete Love Story. Appropriate consent may be obtained directly from that person before recording or publication.
Love Story Submissions
We understand that Love Stories can contain personal, emotional, and sometimes sensitive information.
Submitting information about a Love Story through our website gives The Love Story Guy permission to review that information and contact you regarding the submission.
Submitting information through the website does not, by itself, grant The Love Story Guy unrestricted permission to publicly publish, broadcast, sell, distribute, or commercially use your complete Love Story.
Additional consent or a separate media release may be requested when appropriate.
Recorded Interviews and Media Participation
The Love Story Guy may conduct interviews and recordings at fairs, festivals, weddings, community events, senior communities, private gatherings, public locations, and other settings.
If you voluntarily participate in a recorded interview, we may ask you to provide permission for The Love Story Guy to record and use your name, image, likeness, voice, statements, and interview.
The specific permission granted for a recording may be described in a separate media release, consent form, recorded consent, or other agreement presented at the time of participation.
Depending on the permission granted, recorded material may be used on websites, social media platforms, videos, podcasts, promotional materials, documentaries, presentations, educational materials, or other media associated with The Love Story Guy.
Participation in an interview does not require you to disclose information you do not wish to share.
Definitions of Love and Other Short-Form Submissions
Certain forms or experiences may invite you to submit a definition of love, written response, photograph, quote, or other short-form contribution.
When a form specifically states that your submission may be reviewed, shared, or featured, submitting that content gives The Love Story Guy permission to use that particular submission as described on the form.
Whenever reasonably practical, we may identify a contributor by first name or anonymously depending on the nature of the project, the information provided, and the permission associated with the submission.
Photos and Other Content You Submit
You should only submit photos, written material, or other content that you have the right to provide.
You retain ownership of content you submit unless otherwise agreed.
Where a particular form expressly states that submitted content may be featured or shared, you grant The Love Story Guy non-exclusive permission to use that content for the purposes described in connection with that submission.
This does not transfer ownership of your original content to The Love Story Guy.
Invitations and Events
Submitting an invitation through our website is a request to connect with The Love Story Guy.
An invitation does not create a contract, reservation, booking, appearance commitment, or obligation for The Love Story Guy to attend an event or location.
If an event, appearance, interview, travel arrangement, or paid service is agreed upon, additional terms, pricing, scheduling requirements, releases, or agreements may apply.
Minors
Individuals under the age of 18 should not participate in recorded interviews intended for public use without appropriate permission from a parent or legal guardian when such permission is required.
We may request parental or guardian consent before recording, publishing, or using content involving a minor.
Respect for Participants
Our goal is to preserve Love Stories with dignity and respect.
We reserve the right to decline, stop, edit, or choose not to publish content that we believe is abusive, threatening, unlawful, intentionally deceptive, exploitative, defamatory, discriminatory, invasive of another person's privacy, or inconsistent with the mission of The Love Story Guy.
Editing and Presentation
Recorded interviews and other media may be edited for length, clarity, pacing, formatting, technical quality, storytelling, or presentation.
When we have permission to publish recorded material, that permission may include reasonable editing of the material while seeking to preserve the meaning and spirit of the participant's contribution.
Intellectual Property
The Love Story Guy name, logos, branding, website design, original videos, graphics, written materials, and other original content created by The Love Story Guy are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may share links to publicly available Love Story Guy content for personal, noncommercial purposes.
You may not reproduce, sell, impersonate, misrepresent, or commercially exploit The Love Story Guy branding or original content without permission.
